This policy explains how Daryl Harper ("we", "us") collects and uses your personal information when you visit coach.darylharper.com, sign up for the Jumpstart Your Finances challenge or any of our other programmes, or get in touch with us. We're the data controller for that information.
If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email daryl@darylharper.com.
When you book a place or join a waiting list, we collect your name, email address and phone number, plus anything else you choose to tell us in the form.
When you pay, your card details go straight to our payment provider. We never see or store your full card number. We keep a record of what you bought, how much you paid and when.
When you attend a session, Zoom collects your name as it appears on screen and your attendance. If you take part on camera or speak, you'll appear in the session recording. You can keep your camera and microphone off and use the chat instead if you'd prefer not to be recorded.
We may also ask for feedback before, during or after the challenge, for example how confident you feel about money or what changes you've made. You don't have to answer, and we use these answers to improve the programme and report on its impact. Where we share results with partners or funders, we only share totals and anonymised quotes, never anything that identifies you, unless you've agreed to it.
Our website uses cookies that are needed for the pages and checkout to work. If we ever add analytics or advertising cookies, we'll ask for your consent first.
We use your information to deliver the programme you've signed up for, which includes sending your joining links, reminders, recordings and resources. This is necessary to carry out our agreement with you.
We use it to keep records of payments and bookings, which we need to do by law for tax and accounting purposes.
We may email or text you about future cohorts and similar programmes, because we have a legitimate interest in telling past and current participants about related services. Every message includes a way to opt out, and you can unsubscribe at any time. If you've joined our priority list or opted in to marketing, we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw whenever you like.
We use feedback and survey answers, with your consent, to improve our programmes and measure their impact.
We don't sell your information. We only share it with the services we use to run the programme, which act on our instructions:
our website, booking and CRM platform, which stores your details and sends emails and texts
our payment provider, which processes your payment securely
Zoom, which hosts the live sessions and recordings
Some of these providers store data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards the law requires, such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the UK's approved standard contract clauses.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
We keep booking and payment records for six years after the end of the tax year they relate to, because the law requires it. Session recordings are kept while participants have access to the replays and are then deleted. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Feedback is kept for as long as we need it to report on the programme, after which it's deleted or anonymised.
You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to have it sent to you or another organisation in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, email daryl@darylharper.com. We'll respond within one month.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, please talk to us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
